My daughter relies on Medicaid.

We don't "get" Medicaid.
We don't receive a check from Medicaid.

Medicaid covers her life-saving medical expenses.
Medicaid is health insurance.
Medicaid is health care.

That's what Medicaid is.

And that's why we need our senators to #VoteNo and #ProtectMedicaid.

Two years ago today, Xiomara received a kidney from a generous donor and underwent a successful life-saving transplant surgery.

She has survived and thrived because of Medicaid.

The $2,000 asset limit—set in 1989, when $2,000 went much farther—forced seniors and people with disabilities to face an impossible choice: live in poverty or lose health care.
