This is your only trigger warning. This is my personal traumatic experience. Do not read if you are not in the mental head space to do so. Most of us know about the mess that the year 2012 was. Still, it is now overshadowed by the pandemic of 2019. A lot of us experienced both personally, and if you did you need intensive therapy.

The purpose of this activity is to create an energy center in your home. Some call it a meditation corner. No matter what stage of life we are in we have good and bad days. Not all of us have the skills to deal with those bad days. Especially kids! They might not even want to talk to you about their bad days and need help.

Remember how grandma always said “Cleanliness was next to godliness”. Trust there is a reason for that. If your family is as country as mine, she didn’t say it as clearly. But I digress. Maintaining your spiritual hygiene is crucial. It is one of the most important practices as a practitioner. We need to stay on top of regular hygiene just in general.

It's a new year and that means new opportunities. It's an annual mantra to say new year new me. To make that new you stick, you'll need some actual changes. Something that comes with a new you is sadly, new challenges. Some of us towards the end of the year experienced more challenges than others. Some of us have been feeling stuck, it just hadn't clicked yet.

We are about to start a new year! Everyone try to calm down your excitement. I know plenty are going out tonight. Some of yall are gathering grapes and will be held up under tables. There is a drill. We know our routines. And yet………. A lot of people don’t tend to have the best possible year. (No hate no shade, I am just saying).

Cooking with intention is one of my favorite ways to do magic. It is also the easiest in my opinion. Very much so a kitchen witch. I embrace that title and that spirit. One of my favorite things to do is add bay leaves to the pot. I believe that whoever gets it has something great coming their way. It acts as a little confirmation when you see it in your bowl.

It is getting cold. I am not a fan of the cold. Very anemic. Very low iron. There are plenty of things besides the cold I am not a fan of when it comes to winter. Another being I am more likely to be depressed. Winter blues grabs me by the throat and refuses to let me go every year. That doesn’t change that I do my best to change my energy, and still enjoy the season.

This is going to be a moment of transparency on this blog. I am writing from my own experiences and opinions here anyway so why not right? I have never liked someone giving out advice that they themselves don't take. And I know that I say people should do shadow work, and this post might feel counterproductive to that. I still think Shadow Work is important, however I also think this might be a great example of why it's called Shadow.

The Love For Fall Fall is in the air. I know that many of us are decorating our homes, offices, and spaces in general. Fall is truly one of my favorite seasons. I love decorating and shopping for decorations. The activities! I love how it's just cold enough for a sweater but not freezing. I don't know about y'all but I know my wardrobe game gets better in the fall time.
