the 有難う example you posted the other day is another hood example of this. it's correct but that shouldnt be a priority study point for beginners when it's usually gonna be written in kana

yeah 米国 gets tossed around a fair amount but that other one is totally new to me. i looked into it and it's not wrong but like why one would put that in n5 study materials is beyond me
