In fantasy settings/ips there is more than plenty of things inspired by Pre-17th Century Europe and Catholic/Christian mythology. The same can and should be applied to other cultures and religions to broaden our understanding of eachother and respectful representation.

How I approach a similar thing with my Native American culture is kinda of looking at the practice from an anthropological mindset, understanding the reasons to why a cultural practice would exist - then taking the knowledge and applying it to the context of the fantasy setting.

I will maybe make a few concepts.

I think I struggle a little with idealizing myself because of my own dysphoria - but this might be a good practice for me!

If you’ve read this far…thanks for listening to my rambles.

Have a non-aesthetic photo of a watercolor painting I did today - don’t mind the miss matched wash tape

I feel I’m bad at curating an aesthetic art account…I don’t share as much as I should because I feel bad at it and like the algorithms and human nature will work against me for being less than perfect.
But does it really even matter? I don’t know.

But it doesn’t stop me from making art

So much more is hidden in the memory bank of my I pad, so many half finished works with no hope of being finished because I’m always experimenting and evolving my art.
My body of work doesn’t fit a single aesthetic, style, or genre.
It’s messy and cluttered, not made for easy consumption.

Pose it in a nice camera shot with mediums exposed in an aesthetic fashion to share online. Instead I often take bad photos with shitty lighting to send it to my friends to hear their appraisal of my work.
A lot of what I do is seen by a select few that enter my home and see my wall decoration.
