I’m willing to bet on the fact that the South and Appalachia have firmly held on to this practice. We do the same thing up my way, and I can’t fathom someone refusing if I held the door for them

Nooo, I just like the taste of a well done dark roast! I can't stand the fruity flavor profile of a light roast. (But the key here is well done)
