But what about in areas where there are no trees and its too far away to self-seed? In Canada we are propagating trees from seeds sourced from endangered ecosystems and planting them elsewhere in the same bio-region to increase resilience.

Fantastic to see that this still exists. Do ecologists collect tree and plant seeds from this forest and propagate them to plant elsewhere?

Yes! There are multiple burn piles happening. Some near jordan river and some closer to point no point where they have been clearing private land for development.
