Well, the Hero of Bondi Beach is named Ahmed el Ahmed. Iirc intifada means "rise up". And Ahmed certainly did "rise up" from hiding behind a parked car & tackle a murderer and wrestle a rifle from him. Maybe Ahmed globalized the intifada but not the way Brett means.
