Ah, there we are. 5th attempt- in nearly the same place- Mother Nature finally got a tropical storm/hurricane aimed towards land. Erick! Is supposed to make it to Category 2 hurricane but reduce as soon as it reaches land late Thursdayish. Also, totally didn't know Acapulco was a place... #Weather

Barbara has reached her Hurricane stage, and Cosme is now expected to hit theirs in just a few hours. It looks like they are still expected to intercept, just not as direct as originally considered.

Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be affecting any surrounding areas- at least not enough for warnings.

Welp, we're finally getting into "hurricane season" legitimately, now! We always knew Alvin had a thing for causing trouble, but i don't think even chipmunks can control the weather...

The maker space also has space for donated parts that can be reused, storage for unfinished projects, and even a lost&found for the lost (yourself not included...)! Not shown are the two bathrooms, the large classroom area, and the backyard. Taking pictures of bathrooms is weird... don't do that.

Turning to the right (not wrong and not left) door leads you to the space for makers! There, you'll meet room of tools. And to the left of those people, you'll see a literal wall of tools! If you know how to use them, they are free of use. If you don't, ask the tools!

Here's a mini tour of the Midsouth Makerspace! Front door goes directly to the lounge, where you sign the papers to do the things. Only then, can we remove the blindfold to reveal the awesomeness OF the lounge, which includes the fridge, microwave, and comfy seating! Or you can look in the window...

Corner welds! Welding can be just as pretty without the sparks... i know, that's hard to wrap your head around. This is @fxtrip.bsky.social using the other welding machine. Honestly, i don't remember what this welding machine's technique is, but it doesn't use the electrodes...

The first photo is an example of one of my lesser quality ones because of my need to look away. I did end up having sore eyes after today, but it might have been because of the fumes... Be sure to let hospital staff know when you've been welding before going in for an MRI!

This is @ryokimball.memsec.info , aka Hackermane. He like playing with high voltage sparklers, but what's more impressive is that he is wearing the proper safety equipment. I don't recall if he had to be persuaded, but i had to look away to take most of these photos and hope for the best.

Yesterday, I attended the Welding Class held by Chris Potter at the MidsouthMakerspace in Memphis. This gave me a chance to pick around at photography using my dad's camera.
