Watching my grandson play tennis. My granddaughter graduated high school, so no more recitals. So, what happens when they both finish college? Do grandparents go and watch them at their jobs or something?

Day laborers and restaurant workers aren’t “the worst of the worst.” They’re tax paying workers with families and friends here and they aren’t bothering anybody. They aren’t the worst. They are easy targets.

It would be different if I applied for a job with Trump Inc. or something and he was my boss, but he isn't and I have to deal with his whims and outbursts like he's the boss of me. He's one of three supervisors who are governed by the Constitution. He isn't the boss of anything.

At my age, I was there at the beginning of courtships that lasted 30, 40, 50 years. We were all there for the initial spark, the wondering if this is the one, the breakups, and the final surrender to fate. Now, seeing those love stories end in the loss of one of the spouses is heartbreaking.
