The pension and other lifetime benefits need to go. Period. Take the money and power out of politics and we might finally get people who actually GIVE A SHIT about SERVING our country and citizens.

What are the options for changing this? Can we expect politicians to be on board for making something like change? How do we roll back corporate greed when it's been going for so long? What about the politicians that have made millions from immoral/ unethical business practices?🙄Where do we start?

Chicken shit like all of them. I used to think that politicians were more afraid of voters than anything. I was wrong. They're afraid of Trump and what he will do to whip up the crazies. I think there are skeletons in closets that are being hidden too. Plus hunger for money and power promised.

Weren't the Russians lining up along the border during the tale end of trump's first term? Seems to me that trump could have stopped it then. I seem to remember Biden actually inheriting the war not Trump. I saw yesterday that Rubio is walking back on this list and denying it's the actual plan.

While i she with your sentiment in the second half, I don't think we can force them. How would you punish anyone who doesn't vote? In order to know who didn't vote someone has to have records of everyone in the country and voting data. It's too easy to use that data against us too. No good answer.

Actually there is a lot of smitey talk in the old testament too. The problem with a lot of religions is that people take the words of religious scripts and twist them to mean what they want them to mean. I don't do organized religion anymore. Strictly spiritual. It's much more pleasant and caring.

I don't remember mentioning the Torah. I'm talking evangelicals and SOME of the southern Christian sects. They love to preface everything racist or negative with "I'm a God fearing Christian but..."

Right? I've noticed another distinction based on one phrase from each. Evangelicals/ Christian Nationalists are "God fearing Christians" mentality. True Christians have a "loving God, our father" mentality.

He's terrified. I think there are going to be LOTS of investigations eventually. The bill always comes due. Just a question of how long it takes. Based upon the last election I'm hoping it'll start in 2026 with Republicans in a major minority in both houses.

In other words... Trump is ALL over the files and it would be a horrendous embarrassment. They're are also likely LOTS of business people and other republican politicians involved in either participation of events or cover up and the democrats would win if those people are removed from office.
