These cuts equate to $4 Trillion over 10 years. $4 Trillion dollars that would otherwise go into federally funded programs. 2025: Those tax cuts for the 1% expire. What do Taxes Pay For? Social Security Medicare Law Enforcement National Defense Social Programs Community Development Interest on current Debt Etc Etc Etc 2025: Republicans Plan per a Leaked Memo: •Renew & Increase Tax Cuts for the very Rich (1% of the population). •Make up the $4 Trillion Deficit by cutting federal programs and increasing taxes on the poor & middle class. •Maintain budget for the Department of Defense which equates to $7.5 trillion. 2,600 federal programs are at risk Federal Programs to be Cut: USAID DEI DEPT OF EDUCATION MEDICAID CUTS MEDICARE CUTS Tax Increases: End tax credits for Home Mortgages, Student Loans, Childcare Credit, Auto loan interest, etc. INCREASE taxes for single parents, people on college scholarships and homeowners, etc. WILL THIS MAKE UP FOR THE $4 TRILLION LOST? No.
