I think this version is sad and disheartening, though it makes me think of the reverse side where the kids don’t get raised by the grandparents and then have to watch their parents never be financially or mentally stable. Family dynamics are hard on both sides of this coin.

I have the same bird but he also sings about spring at dusk so I don’t know if he is confused or crepuscular…

I do not really agree, Hozier only does one round of the main chorus. I like their duet in part but I still feel like it’s mostly Noah’s, it doesn’t sound to much different from the original.
