Say what you will about Bret Stephens. He’s a Jewish American writer with many Jewish colleagues.

And this isn’t a fair summary of his column at all, which you didn’t quote from beyond the paragraph in the tweet. He refers to the “National Security Strategy” as laundering far right talking points.

Hah, I don't think I've gotten three saves of all my previous skeets combined.

As a Silicon Valley resident who posts in the DT, I want whoever runs that account to stop running it, and let someone else take his place.

Informative and pretty graphics as usual, Joey. Nice to see some positive developments on my feed!

Not relevant to the content of the interview, but . . . Elliott, has anyone told you that your voice is particularly pleasant to listen to?

As opposed to hot-button issues like immigration, LGBT rights, etc.

I don’t think I have much to add that @gelliottmorris.com’s caption doesn’t have. It essentially sums up the premise of the article in a nutshell: that most categorized “moderates” are really non-ideological voters, disproportionately focused on so-called kitchen-table issues like affordability.

Just a heads-up: you should probably clarify that this is only among respondents who reported being “certain” to vote. The full sample was 49🔵, 44🔴.

Governor, I congratulate you on your landslide win and wish you well on your coming stewardship of Virginia. But this statement is clearly written almost exclusively with ChatGPT.

The elected party has chosen to punt on the thornier questions of trans issues, undocumented immigrants, and climate policy (outside of opposing the naked cruelty of Trump's secret police), bowing to the realities of the electorate outside of NYC.

I think it's okay to focus on healthcare subsidies.

I think one part — not all — of that is because @democrats.org have no choice but to embrace a great big tent, given the heavy structural disadvantages they face and the priority differences many vocal, urban, educated progressive activists have with a large number of Obama 2012 voters.

This is high comedy, Santiago.

Fuck off. You're kidding.
November 8, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Yeah, I don't know if people were following the timelines from the official account on the socials. @democrats.org called for Democratic voters to turn out for @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social numerous times, the centrist @governor.ny.gov endorsed him despite the challenge from Stefanik, etc.
