Yes, they are literally denying the reality of what is in the GRA. Very much a Ministry of Truth/minitruth tactic.

Like you and I guess the rest of our community I am extremely concerned. There's a big part of me that wants to believe that what they have previously proposed would be impossible to happen in reality. If it does, then yes, we may not have a life worth living. Terrifying. I am trying to be strong.

I wrote to my MP on Tuesday and received a well thought out reply yesterday that he will of course put the final draft under the required scrutiny. It's not out yet though, so whilst I totally agree this is the time to write to your MP, we don't know what is in it as of yet.

This is what it used to mean before the SCR. It doesn't mean that anymore according to the law or when I got mine back in 2005. The worry is, what they will do about it and whether they will change that. It is just undoing the point of what it's supposed to be of course.

Good for you. I'm always happy when I hear that someone has less trauma. That is good! I had Prof Richard Green as my head psych, so that was fun. 😭

I know, but there is so much I can say about how bad the experience at Charing X was in the GIC and also how awful it was on the ward. I honestly think it's a trauma for pretty much every trans person to go through on the NHS. My GP trained as a junior at Charing X I struck gold there!

I think it's getting worse. 1995 - 1 year battle with health authority. Win battle - 6 month wait to 1st appt at Charing X. 2nd appt 4 months later then finish July 2000. Just under 4 years, got cancelled twice. That probably sounds pretty good even if it didn't feel like it back then.

I guess so and I hope so! It's more that it really is coming to this. Will I have to get my work colleagues to agree to allow me to continue to use the loo because I work for the government? It just seems insane.
