I am so with you on this. I also find the lack of salutation downright rude. "Carla" without Dear etc is the equivalent of barking.

Mother of three, now in their 20s. I was heartened when the youngest got a prof at UBC who convinced her to drop social media for the summer. She went back briefly in the fall then gave it up completely. There is hope.
