Clambering onto the Bluesky life raft as Twitter sinks to the depths
A maker of miniature books and large oatmeal cookies
There are so many cute salt & pepper sets at Quail Ceramics (quailceramics.co.uk), I bet I could assemble a DIY Advent calendar out of them. (While I’m fantasizing, I may as well fantasize an end to the tariffs so they’ll ship to the States again.)

Okay, adding a picture didn't prevent a post for appearing. Maybe 3 pictures? and a link? (The link has nothing to do with the images, this is just an experiment, to see if a cluttered skeet will appear.)

2nd attempt to post a skeet onto Bluesky. The one I just tried worked--but it was text only, not an image. Let's add an image, see if that works.

You need a third! I volunteer.

Today, much nearer my 60th birthday than my 50th, I figured out how to empty a dustpan without spilling crud onto the floor:

Take paper from recycling bin, damp it down & line the bathroom sink with it. Dump dustpan onto paper. Crumple it up with dust inside & throw in trash.

Has anyone mentioned the Mr. Magoo cartoons yet? On Saturday mornings, they introduced kids to Don Quixote, Moby Dick, William Tell, etc.

@artofrob.bsky.social is out sick, so I hope you won’t mind if I post on his behalf?
Rob has a RB store (easier to handle than his Etsy store while he’s recuperating), and Redbubble is having a 25% off sale this week.

Badger is enjoying his new friends. When the nieces and I (and their parents) arrange our Piggy Party this autumn, I’ll let you know how it goes!
Thank you so much for the chance to delight the kids.

I received the box of piggies today, just as I’m leaving for the office! Had time to read your lovely note and unwrap just a few before heading out. Badger will watch over them until I get back. Thank you so much for this delightful collection.

1. I love the thought of adults telling other adults bedtime stories (and I hope he tells you a bedtime story in return)

2. I was so happy with these tweets, I Mod-Podged them (badly) to make fridge magnets:

Just took lemon poppy cookies out of the oven, and this apartment smells great.

Roxanne (1987). I could watch Steve Martin’s C.D. Bales forever.

@artofrob.bsky.social drew this picture (and many others) with an *ordinary Bic ballpoint*, and I will never stop being amazed. (He’s on Etsy, btw.)

My photographs can’t capture the floating green and gray magic of Central Park this evening. Need poets.

@ginjones.bsky.social Hi Gin,
Here are very belated photos of the quiltlets I gave to my nieces for Hanukah/Christmas. Sorry for the delay! You made 2 kids very happy: they tucked their stuffies in bed and felt very grown-up, taking care of them. 😊

For YEARS I pestered @artofrob.bsky.social to produce greeting cards. He now has them on Redbubble, and I am using them with delight.

Hey, Redbubble.com is having a sale for a few more hours! Will end at 2 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, I think.

I finally did a thing I’ve meant to do for years: put the right numbers on the Narnia books.

Ordering them by internal chronology doesn’t make emotional sense, even tho HarperCollins insists that Lewis wanted them renumbered. The books are a pilgrimage, a psychological journey, not a history text.

You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who is coming to save you?

******

I figure I have a pretty decent chance, honestly.
