This year the state of Utah decided to make it mandatory for us to re-certify for Medicaid EVERY year and my paperwork got sent to my old address. I was unaware of it until mine was canceled in March. I was denied in August and it's been so hard

I worked 30+ years and paid into SS on every single paycheck knowing I wouldn't have to worry. Now I'm facing the threat of having no income, no medical coverage, and no insurance to help pay for my medications every month. At least I only owe back property taxes on my home. For now.🤷‍♀️

I'm on SSDI. Currently $175 gets taken out of my SSDI to pay for my Medicare coverage every month. That leaves me with $915 to live off of. I just got my SS COLA notice for 2025. Sure I get a 2% increase, but my Medicare fee jumps to $185 leaving me with $930 each month. It's NOT an entitlement!

Paul Young! This song and the duet of Bowie and Crosby of Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth are the only two Xmas songs I play. I'm Pagan and don't celebrate Xmas, but those two songs hold some of my favorite memories from my younger years (Bowie/Crosby) and my teenage years (Band Aid). ❤️
