Take off work and hunt down documents at a courthouse to be able to get a passport. You missed the part where the passport processing staff has been cut. You asked, “as a Brit” to understand what was the issue and I gave you multiple reasons. Not limited to there is so little voter fraud that (2)

I don’t have an argument. You missed the part where people have to register IN PERSON. So your military with passports will still have to come home to do it. You missed the part where it solves nothing because states already have voter ID laws. You missed the part where married women have to (1)

People in care homes and overseas military personnel do not fly home to buy alcohol because it’s the only place they can buy it

I’m just referring to distance. We don’t generally have passports because we can drive 15 hours or more in one direction and still be in the US. you can vacation far far far away and never leave the country.

No. It still causes logistical nightmares with folks in care homes, military and married women. There’s already ID laws. There is a non-significant amount of voter fraud. This is just hoops to jump thru to make it harder to vote. It “solves” a problem that doesn’t exist but creates one for 70M ppl.
