where would I be if prop 8 had not been overturned? this thought has crossed my mind over the last year - many times. how truly vulnerable I would have been (& countless have been) if marriage equity (& all that it brings) did not exist. a reminder how interconnected we all are through actions. RIP

Nothing more important than identifying, exploring, researching, debating and discussing ideas freely. Without that . . . well, I cannot imagine that world. I am glad you remain hopeful. At least there is some movement to protect the true essence of what it means to be human.

Absolutely. I definitely can’t express my disillusionment with the democrats & what will likely be compromised. I will state that healthcare & access to it should be a basic human right. That makes sense for the individual and a society as a whole. It should be uncompromisable position.

I hope you can find the time to dream for your soul. Not sure you need to sit on pavement to do it. Perhaps sinking into soothing beach sand & then loosing yourself in the sounds & rhythms of the water. I just did it. Thank you, Virginia. We should all not forget to dream - October or anytime. 💚

empathy is fundamental for healthy (anything). replace empathy w/ apathy, indifference & detachment & you have opened the door to let in fascism. what a deeply, uninteresting way to choose to move through life. how do you achieve satisfaction in life w/o true confrontation that leads to empathy?

The ethos of political parties are shifting much like zodiac sign alignment. A gradual misalignment over 2k years - zodiac signs - or rapidly heading back in time - the democratic party. Please note I am recovering from my 2nd Hep B vaccine today & this makes sense in my head . . .

I want to have hope for this world. It is a daily struggle to keep that vision alive and nourished. Thank you for speaking the truth. It really should be a no brainer that through its removal a greater crevasse would be created in the community. Empathy & compassion are quickly waining.

Imagination as a form of liberation - for our culture, personally transformation, the design of public space, you name it. Bring imaging back to the forefront. You are so damn good at it. Never forget. If we don’t imagine, the seeds will never be planted and the idea will not emerge.

I would add that at the same time we need to explore decentralized food systems based in agroecological principles. Perhaps a hybridized system - keeping some if the current model and building in resilience by adding robust, decentralized growing and distribution networks. We need radical change.

I have always been fascinated by graphic propaganda. I can’t believe I am surrounded by & immersed in a culture actively & voraciously producing it. I long for the days when I sought it out in museums or books about times that had gone by. Imagine what people will think of that in 25 years.

curious what the impact would be if this passes. while the housing crisis is shifting on the surface the outcome remains a very complex crisis. this would be a 1st step, w/ more needed, to make real change. Lots of creative thinking is needed to make it possible to live near work. 🙏 for sharing.

Just what Trump needs. Someone telling him to listen to the voice that he hears (in his head), to trust his own instincts (like he was the only one) & that those around him are but his servants. I wish we could click our heels (if we had them) 3 times & return home.
