It’s at the end . She didn’t go back afterwards afaik. Perhaps she wanted to rejoin this year and was denied - but that hasn’t been reported and I think we need to be precise when making the claim above bc there is so much misinformation and local violent rhetoric around this issue.

Just showing the median and mean doesn’t tell you anything about the number of young people present lmaooo. I know I have a math brain bc I immediately thought of a counter example, properly weighted two Gaussians would give you that median/mean with plenty of young people!

I just finished “Period” by @kateclancy.bsky.social. everyone should read it (cis men this includes you!). It covers the cultural history of menstruation & biases in how primarily male scientists studied and taught about menstruating bodies. Biology+anthropology+ gender studies = great book!

we live in a cursed timeline because what is this?!? And yes, I read the article, which is barely even about her style choices. What she wore was the standard fieldwork apparel of the day. The only style choice that was atypical (high top converse in the field) WAS NOT EVEN MENTIONED!
