I always ♥️ teaching weekends but this one especially as I have been joined by therapists and therapy students from all over the country who are committed to providing high quality, affirmative care to their trans and queer clients. Is your need for control keeping you from pleasure? Do you struggle to let go enough to enjoy sex? Worry about sounds, faces, what you might look like if you stopped paying attention to yourself long enough to enjoy sensation? I get it. It’s difficult for many of us. I have a class for that. ⬇️

When you were raised with messages that se❎ is bad, dirty, dangerous, and shameful it makes it really hard to jump right into a relaxed, carefree, exploratory, pleasurable se❎uaI relationship.

Stress, tension, and grief can really get in the way of allowing pleasure in. And wow, we have had plenty of stress, tension, and grief lately.

Take a deep breath. Put your hand on your body where you feel tension and just hold it there, gently. See if you can soften for a moment.
