I picked up a ticket that applied to a microservice I wrote, worked with our head design guy to make sure the fix looked good and after a quick check in with the CTO I pushed it to prod. 2 hrs.

I forgot what a culture shock it is to go from being a cashier to a software engineer.
A friend of mine just made a similar pivot and has been asking me all these questions about daily stand ups, agile etc etc.
He's even shocked that everyone goes to lunch together at the same time.
