Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia are brutal.

I've experienced the pain of losing someone to cancer (miss you, Mom!), but navigating Dad's Alzheimer's is a different kind of heartbreak - a slow erasure of the person you know and love.

Today we talk about new levels of care for him.

Sometimes you have to step away.

Today, my son and I were on a field trip.

We took less drowsy Dramamine and felt off.

So we left before the boat ride.

And I am okay with it.

Still tired, too.

Need energy for a nighttime event I have to drive 45 minutes to cover.

Quiet before the hustle.

I am SO looking forward to capturing the energy at Aca-Fest tonight.
