De Blasio has already paid $100,000 of the fine. He filed suit challenging the Board's decision back in 2023, but the petition was dismissed this year and de Blasio appealed. In the settlement announced today, de Blasio "agreed to withdraw his appeal" and said he "deeply regrets his conduct."

Asked to comment on Cuomo's plan to possibly run as an independent on a third party line if he loses the Democratic primary, Adams again suggests Cuomo is copying him and his heart isn't in the race. "It seems like he's just going through the motions," Adams says, chuckling to himself. "Is it me?"
