My eldest child is also an artist and uses it from time to time. There is skill involved. Not just anyone can make AI-videos like, say David Szauder.
I do agree there are IP issues to work out. Perhaps by embedding code in the image like a genetic makers mark, so AI-use is clear.

I agree with the museum pov. AI is swiftly becoming just another tool or medium in the artists toolbox. It is a pastel or a paintbrush. How skilled one is at wielding it is the thing.
