Also more evidence of the American drive to punish 1,000 innocent people rather than risk having one guilty person go free.

TBF, I regard clumping litter to be one of the great innovations of our time.

I really, really, REALLY wish Pritzker were getting even a fraction of the attention as phony Newsom.

Well, as the mom of a 12 y/o (13 next month), your "Big Rock Candy Mountain" story has me in literal tears. So ... thanks? ... for that. (And, with a much fuller heart, for everything.)

TBF, on the day I gave birth, I did not anticipate that I would someday have to explain truck nuts to that child.

No, it's a little less than 10 minutes/mile. It's hardly a Boston Marathon qualifying pace, but definitely faster than average foot speed.

(Still: Abolish ICE.)

Josh Hawley: 0 days of not being an embarrassment to Missouri.

By that measure, my 12 y/o is a lifelong vaccine skeptic. I have to psych him up every time.

But his papa (who died when he was 9) is buried in a historic cemetery. When we see the graves of 19th-c kids who died, I remind him that's why he gets shots.

Noooo, why would you starve the hungry little caterpillar like that? He's hungry!

I volunteer once every couple of months (with a group my late husband was part of) at the soup kitchen. On my last shift, I was slinging meatball subs for an hour solid. The line just went on.

100%. And, if it HAD happened, Gore would have been executed on the White House lawn within 24 hours. He wouldn't have been lauded as a hero and reelected.

Just showed this to my 12 y/o. He knows about the TikTok fish.

I love this, but I think it can be said of the other -isms, too. Consider how immigrants are both "lazy" and "draining society" AND "stealing all the jobs." The math doesn't math.

I’m from Missouri, which sent Josh Hawley BACK to the Senate. Solidarity.

I read this story on my phone at the time while waiting at the pharmacy to pick up meds for my dying husband. It made me laugh when laughter did not come easily. Thank you.

1. AMEN, AMEN, AMEN. 2. Welcome to the mouthwatering combo of figs and goat cheese. The first time I had them, I skipped cake to keep shoving figs in my face.

Kiddo and I got ours the Saturday before the end of daylight savings. An extra hour to sleep off the side effects!
