The British press are losing their collective minds over an Irish presidential candidate that not only isn’t part of the establishment but looks like they’ll win. Not that they really know anything about her but sure when does that ever matter?! Roll on Friday! #ConnollyforPresident

WW is no longer satire.

We all need to thank the Local bar on Military Road, Cork, for the win tonight. They tipped Ferguson for the win! #IrevArm

The event was the culmination of small amount of seed-funding we had to host some workshops and bring a lot of brilliant ppl into the same rooms. Thinking about how we centre survivors, move beyond the archive, really co-produce outputs. So many things to think about. Thanks to all who shared.

We need to stop with the ‘split the g’ nonsense, it’s takes on ‘Arthur’s day’ guinness-marketing bullshit proportions!

A week until semester starts and needless to say i’m not nearly ready for summer to end! But at least the quad is looking lovely in the pre-semester quiet … i’ll try to remember this when it’s absolute bedlam in a couple of weeks!

Thinking of making my first million gathering random flags lying around Lisburn post-12th and re-selling them to English ‘patriots’.

These info maps can just fuck off.

Not often I find myself thinking that Lisburn is looking so lovely (even if it’s my mum’s back garden)

Last writing retreat of the summer, in a converted cottage on the side of a huge and beaut lake that we appeared to be the only ppl using. Bliss.

After a week away writing, Mr Crowe gave at least 30 mins cold shoulder before I had to sit in the bedroom with him on my knee purring and demanding stomach rubs

Important book I picked up on my travels!

Gorgeous stuff at the Glucksman at their latest opening - a Irish-Japanese exhibiting and an exhibition on the Book of Ireland, including a rather lovely handwritten poem by Heaney.

‘Writing retreat’ being a small cottage by a lough - of which there is an abundance in SW Ireland - and starting and ending the day with a swim. 8 hours proper work done a day. Virtually no emails read. Absolute bliss!

Darwin also has a lot of wildlife, and mainly saw the non-venomous varieties!

Loving having a couple of post-conference days to chill and spend some time in the city. Now in the airport for the very long trip back to Cork, but pleased to confirm Darwin was a city of many graffiti and mural delights!

trans-appreciation from Cork

Have you ever seen anything less appetizing? Not sure if there could have been any less care taken literally throwing ingredients ontop of each other to form a mound of veggie fry. After having wasted time at security moving liquids from one small bag to another, Cork Airport really selling itself!!

Loving the juxtaposition of old council signage and new graffiti in Cork ‘a city remembers / a free Palestine’

I may have found the worst AI image yet, no wonder Sinéad looks sad

Having lived in Aarhus for 7 years I couldn’t stop myself inspecting the oddly named ‘Arhaus’ in Denver, which turned out to be a very swish, Scandi-inspired furniture shop with slightly more blingy (and much larger) approximations of Scandi design.

Just me and a young Queen Vic enjoying some respite in the staff common room before a busy day at UCC!
