My biggest frustration remains that while the industries at large are declaring it all as 'AI' they're also pushing GenAI when it's just Digital Asbestos. It's inclusion in a work brings the entire work to question, like if you find asbestos in construction, it all has to be treated as asbestos.

I honestly think it's worth distinguishing between GenAI, and LLMs and Neural Networks generally, but the industries at large want to call all of it AI... frankly, and very bluntly, screw GenAI for SEVERAL reasons
LLMs and Neural Nets in science and diagnostic fields are good though.

I do think that distinction needs to be made. GenAI is built ontop of neural network design and LLMs, but is not those things specifically and most ‘AI in Science’ is not what people are trying to brand as AI
