Clip from the podcast where I tackle the fun topic of how entitled gamers and right wing politics have created a dangerous feedback loop.

There's even accessibility presets!

You can add on screen markers to help reduce motion sickness, and increase your Field of View to further try and help with motion sickness.

Kirby Air Riders accessibility menu features options for Text Size increase, colourblind filters with preview images (I know they're flawed but still rare to see offered by Nintendo), HUD size, opacity, outlines etc.

Oh my goodness, there's an actual Accessibility menu in a first party Nintendo game?!

I really picked the wrong Direct to skip...

It uses the Accessibility stick figure icon and everything!!!

General first impression, Switch 1 looks totally fine.

Obviously this isn't a deep dive test, but to me that's super decent looking.
October 14, 2025 at 3:47 PM
Some cutting down animation framerates on objects like this bird at distances not seen on Switch 2, but unsurprising.

Lightly distracting aliasing flicker on S1 in places

Switch 2 Pokemon Cart will run on Switch 1, as shown with the OLED model.

For those taking, the UK box on S2 has far less disclaimer text over the art than the USA box.

Hair colour mixing example.
October 14, 2025 at 3:10 PM
There's 15 basic hair colours, and your hair can mix 3 tones.

This is the closest I'd say for ginger hair.

Research tasks from Legends Arceus kind of return, no longer specific to a Pokémon species but more broadly available on various topics, with items locked behind progression.

Scratches a similar completionism itch.

For those curious - Shiny Pokémon do appear shiny in the open world. The sparkle visual and sound effect on spawn are back. There's also a light glittering visual, and a sparkle icon when locked on targetting.

I can confirm I've been sent a review copy of Ghost of Yotei ahead of embargo.

I'm currently working on an accessibility focused review.

Review embargo lifts Thursday, September 25 at 2:00 PM BST (London).

And it's finally official.

Not so much as an email to authors to let them know.

Literally not a word to the authors they built their business off / stole from.

Call out for an interview subject.

Do I know any wheelchair users who attended one of the Nintendo Switch 2 hands-on events and tried the demo for Drag x Drive?

If so, would love to hear from you.
