Eynsham park and ride car park near Oxford has been completed but cannot be used because no road has been built to connect it to the main A40.

Well, I finished it and liked it almost to the end but I found the very snide depiction of loosely disguised Keir Starmer very unnecessary

At a restaurant in Naples they opened the door, explained that they were not yet open but welcomed us in, sat us down and gave us prosecco on the house!

Well, I’m loving Clown Town so I wonder if I’ll agree with you about the Pynchon. I read V and The Crying of Lot 49 in 1968 to impress a boyfriend and hated them!

Oh dear, I’m just about to start it. What do you think of the Zoe Boehm books?

Arnica tablets help you heal quickly, I never leave home without them! After recent cataract surgery my new specs cost a fortune but I chose very jazzy frames. I thought a bit Su Pollard but Son said very Prue Leith which I took as a compliment.

When I was little my dad used to call me Fanny By Gaslight but I don’t think he could have envisioned a future as a Bond girl for a chubby four year old…thank you for reminding me 😍

Wonderful! Especially the woodbine. I hate gardening but love reading about it 😀

In an Archers group I used to frequent such ridiculous announcements were called flounces and people would post pictures of suitable clothing for the occasion, often very frilly dresses.

My Goodreads review says I enjoyed the book but 3 months later I can’t remember anything about it. I liked Assembly very much too. I mostly ignore titles but have just been irritated by And Notre Dame is Burning which is a really silly title for the book it’s attached to.

Don’t miss the Bean, Anish Kapoor’s brilliant sculpture, it’s near the wonderful Art Institute. The Museum of Science and Industry is good. And go to Ghirardelli’s for ice cream. But the architecture boat tour is our top thing, we do it on every visit.

That is brilliant! Pity the gloves aren’t black, though.

OMG! Mondegreen! I always thought he was singing “We’re going north to the Russia zone”!

Wise words. See also universities where structural change is always seen as the answer and no one ever looks at what works and could be built on.

Has she any qualifications? Or proper insurance? I rather hoped he was a goner, he managed to irritate me immensely in a very few minutes.

Stop it, Kate. @brianbilston.bsky.social has brought a great deal of innocent pleasure to countless people. And then there's this: brianbilston.com/2016/03/23/r...

They have no need of our help So do not tell me These haggard faces could belong to you or me Should life have dealt a different hand We need to see them for who they really are Chancers and scroun…
