Ooo nice! My favourite thing to do when playing in Faerun is having a small regional map for normal play and then when someone asks where the region is pulling out the big map and blowing their minds

There are so many DVD menus etched in my brain from falling asleep to the movie and having the menu play all night. Night at the Museum, Jumanji and the Mummy are stand out ones that when I hear the theme song it instantly takes me back to the menu screen as a kid.

I have friends who play but organising a day to play is impossible bc of work and timezones so I just haven't bought the game even though I really want to

Scheduling is my BBEG. Everyone is getting work and it's bittersweet. Glad for my gang getting work and having a life on the other hand we rarely manage to play consecutive weeks. Though to end on a positive note we've gotten a really good system for planning and communicate a lot better now.

I feel infinitely blessed that I've cultured a friend group of chill people who really good about gender and such that I can play multiplayer with because I absolutely despise playing with randoms because 9/10 times it's bigots, creeps or just pricks.

I feel they've done less and less in recent releases to help DMs actually run their games. While simultaneously expecting us to pick up their slack because they don't put in the effort. "Leave it to the DMs" mentality has slowly ruined recent releases and I fear D&D2024 is going to be a chore to DM

It feels to me like WoTC is purposefully not putting in the effort knowing that 3rd party devs and DMs will fix it. It's icky and reminds me of spelljammer's nothing book.
This whole leave it to DM's to sort out mentality is very anti DM and makes me not want to even consider trying it
