We’re translating the molecular syntax of this wall–cell dialogue: uncovering how specific mechanochemical changes and receptor responses create a coherent signalling system. Each polysaccharide modification is a word; each receptor, an interpreter. We’re building the dictionary.

That doesn’t mean AI shouldn’t be in universities. It should, but as real research. For example developing models that interpret and find patterns in complex data. Using AI for data analysis isn’t uploading your Excel sheet to ChatGPT, it’s understanding and building the tools behind it.
