Hehehehehe. Using a treat to get Kai’s attention for pictures and waited too long. She helped herself. Love this girl.

Enjoying some afternoon sunshine. Kai is growing up, this lasted a few moments until she got hot. Then she moved to the shade. Got bored. Found a toy. Found a stick. Untied my shoe. Had some more sun, more shade, another stick, untied the other shoe, another toy. Just 5 min out back. She is a joy.

Sums up my morning tea on a sunny day perfectly. Kai stops very briefly to sniff the flowers and then she is off for a play session with Skitch. Caught her in that in between moment

Today's lunch, Fried Rice de Opportunity, an homage to several chefs. Cuisine de opportunity from Jacques Pepin, sounds way better than leftovers! Fried rice from Kenji Lopez-Alt and leftover teriyaki chicken from Beth Hensperger.

This morning’s moment of calm. May look “boring” but Skitch is so exciting to 6 month old Kai that I love to see them (her) able to have a calm moment after a rousing game of chase.

Kai's morning.

A picture of Fez on his birthday. He was a good boy with a very unique mlem due to a slight cleft. Lost him a few years ago to old age but I still smile and celebrate his birthday.
