I had hoped to be more active on here over the past few weeks but I've unfortunately been completely floored with whooping cough for a month now. FYI it's brutal and I've never been so ill. Stay safe out there as I hear it's doing the rounds and it's a serious illness.

Pine Hoverflies

These beautiful little flies are one of the most endangered hoverfly species in the UK.

Garden Tiger Moth Caterpillars or also known as "woolly bears" are found in north America, Canada and parts of Europe, preferring colder climates.

Stag Beetles
These guys are our largest beetles in the UK and look like they should be mystical beasts.
They are sadly in decline due to urbanisation and simply being misunderstood creatures. They are gentle giants.

people who use goodreads: jeff bezos owns goodreads and if you want a better alternative there is a black woman owned company called storygraph that you can use to replace it. you can transfer all of your data from goodreads to storygraph and have your mind be free of trumpie jeff bezos! win win. 💙
