When trans youth are allowed to delay puberty it can save them from lasting trauma or save them from suicide because it does simple things like save their voices or skeletons or hair from developing in ways that feel wrong. When you lose these, you can live proud, but scarred by "concerned" society.

Agreed. Also! When kids are forced to live through a puberty which they don't identify with they experience it as physical and mental trauma even if no one else gets it or even knows what they're going through. Trans youth are feeling slowly and lastingly disfigured people who don't get it.

And when you factor in the populations of both groups how many years of life of regular Americans are being traded for just one more for the rich?
