The natural correction for the democratic process is for the extreme ends of the parties to break off because they are becoming more incompatible with the centrists. It's about times for the two main parties in the US to shatter. It's insane that 70-80% of Americans can agree on what the major societal issues are, but the political apparatus is so incredibly inept that they can't resolve things. Just like in the UK where institutional parties are collapsing.
