A fun time! Story was serviceable, there's a couple of things I wish it went into more detail about and explained, but the combat is wicked good in this one. Stupid addictive and uber satisfying, as you'd hope.

33) Dragon Quest I HD-2D Remake
Haven't played the original so can't give my opinion on it as a remake, but as a game, I really enjoyed this! Much like Super Mario RPG, it's a more-digestible 20~ hour romp, which I really appreciate. Bosses felt a bit unbalanced, but everything else was stellar.

The Pokémon Y fan in my heart is very, VERY happy with this. Wicked addictive gameplay loop, and I wasn't expecting the game to be as bonkers or funny as it is. I do wish there'd been more appearances by legacy characters, but all the newcomers are brilliant.

Great dialogue between the characters, and a fantastic sense of timing. It goes about how you'd expect given the sorts of characters, but it's refreshingly quick-witted with a lot of nice shots, too.
