I'm no mere clown but the whole circus: the owner, the staff and the main attraction.
Reality always outpace fantasy in its idiocy

About OSS, they might be onto it already because they were asking for citizens opinions about it so I guess a move from Microsoft services and whatnot may be under consideration already

Back on the EU: what I expect to see starting in the next few weeks are actual actions if FAFO (; proposal and actual talks on the common market, both for goods and financial; and talks about issuing the glaring shortcomings in the tech side of things (cybersecurity, hyperscaler, OS and OSS)

The UK line is particularly pathetic and, frankly… I dunno, the labour govt has given me so many “lol” moments the past year but this is probably the most grotesque, embarrassing of it all.
January 20, 2026 at 1:54 PM
He is disingenuous about it.
This is the response by the Belgian PM which echoes the ones from the commission and other PMs; Trump also put in an uncomfortable position his serfs (meloni and co) who may prefer to alienate Trump than other EU nations
January 20, 2026 at 1:54 PM
The EU is one thing and UK is another. Anyway the woes of the UK are, like its American fellow, self-inflicted
January 20, 2026 at 1:24 PM
Meh, not really. The implication is that the EU will decouple from the US and seek strategical independence from, it seems, third party actors. Considering how much the economy is coupled with the US is no small feat, and it will be painful to the US too (if it actually happens, which we will see)
January 20, 2026 at 12:59 PM
But no, the problem here is the EU that has to take the middle ground between 27 different countries to respond to *check notes* the senile, crazy president of his goddamn country; worse yet, Trump is enabled by the entire political US system. "Mr." Newsom should stop talking and shut the fuck up
January 20, 2026 at 12:55 PM
This is exactly why the US fell: obnoxious, prideful, hypocritical people who cannot own their own woes, blaming everybody else for their self-inflicted woes. You know what's the solution to Trump? Impeaching him for all the shit he has pulled; blocking him from his stupid laws in congress
January 20, 2026 at 12:55 PM
"People rolling over"

he should look at his own shithole before looking at ours lmao
January 20, 2026 at 12:50 PM
Uk isn't part of the EU but that was pathetic yeah
January 20, 2026 at 12:48 PM
Sorry wut? I'm all in for shitting on the Eu when it fucks up but the response this time has been okay. We will see if actions will actually follow but I don't know what do you expect, we aren't some 3d world banana republic where our politicians rule by decree
