Naw, he actually had a really funny bit in the auditorium I saw him speak at where he explained how he created the voice, something along the lines of “I experimented with different accents and eventually settled on doing an Italian guy cuz it sounded funny”.

I met Charles Martinet, close to 10 years ago at this point. Dude was really nice and autographed a bunch of official artwork he had on hand for me. Unfortunately I don’t have them anymore 😭

I had to go without glasses from March until last week, and would constantly stand in front of a mirror dead-eyed trying to see if I looked good or not, so I feel this so bad 😭

I learned about that show through playing Project X Zone as a kid, thought it looked really cool but need to actually watch it some time though

Jakarta Method gets into this but not only was the USSR not ramming an “iron fist of communism” in other countries, it frankly wasn’t doing enough to aid the other communist movements while the reactionaries killing them got US/NATO guns. It’s complete projection from the US in other words.

The rah rah China stuff here is funny because on top of whitewashing US crimes in East Asia, it’s getting to the point where certain people are trying to claim China supersedes the US as the main power in Latin America. Latinos can read and have memories you know…

I like that I learned what Isma’ilism was as a kid through the whole story about Rita Hayworth briefly marrying the Aga Khan’s son Aly(who was seen by everybody as the heir apparent due to the father-son tradition, but was so much of a playboy that he was passed up for his son)
