One thing you guys have to deal with that we did not was guns. We’ve had 3 gun incidents on three years around or in theaters and it’s just sad. 😔

lol. At the X rated theater we got a call every evening from a man who asked about certain acts in the theatre. 🙄 (think Paul Reubens.) we usually laughed and hung up. One day his WIFE called and said he always called when she went to work. After that we always asked Jimmy if Doris was there.

Eastern Federal’s other theater in town went from 2nd run to Blaxploitation (Sweet Sweetback for 18 months) to X rated. I worked all 3 as well as uptown, but stayed in the cage when it turned X. The phone calls were hilarious.

We were a Main Street house, but we ran mostly 2nd tier movies. Like “Willard.” And for some reason “Planet of the Apes.” Took my turn wearing the ape suit for that one.
Yes, the popcorn was free, but I knew where it had been lol.
