It makes things easier. I have no problem with it. People's movements and information is monitored and updated every second. So the argument of civil liberties etc is kind of lost given the way we all live now.

Agreed. We all have lots of ID numbers. I have at least 5. A passport ban No number. A NHS number. A driving licence number and a HMRC Govt number. Poorly built IT systems can't seem to link them all.
