former sayer of "pop". Currently say "soda" due to geographic location but will never stop saying "gaper's block"
This was one of the last screwball comedies we watched from a dear friend's list of 90. Quite a fun watch.

Suddenly my what I feel are meager comments during my bookclub discussions don't feel so meager. I'm at least as perceptive as this guy and more varied in my reading.

horrible action by HHS and while you should have said dead name, I'd like to thank you for not using the dead name in the article.

nothing like a homemade pasty. You had better make that dough so you can post pictures and make everyone jealous.

I still have fond memories of the recent Christmas one by a NYC student trying to get a prof to change his grade that was sent to every single person in every NYU program across the world.

I found this out through @tomandlorenzo.bsky.social covering their red carpet appearances when they were on The Americans and I seem to remember more than once them saying that they looked like they had sex in the limo coming over. Apologies if not.

I'm sure I'm just too out of touch with the youth now but I miss the days of knowing you could be relatively certain of what you were getting literarily or musically by the name of an imprint or record label.

Used to work for a chocolate company, the number of people who would guiltily grab milk chocolate from our booth at natural trade shows and tell us "I know I'm supposed to like dark chocolate but milk chocolate is better" was probably around 4/5 people.

They didn't show that last time we almost had a shutdown?
November 10, 2025 at 3:30 PM
Thanks for voting to have Democrats take the blame for the shutdown when Republicans were taking the blame. And thanks for voting to alllow Trump to continue to line his pockets and make things worse for your consituents.
November 10, 2025 at 2:31 PM
How could you have looked at polls blaming republicans for this shutdown and vote to move the blame to Democrats who are getting absolutely nothing except a way probably for Trump to claim he doesn't have to reinstate SNAP benefits?
November 10, 2025 at 2:05 PM
Hey, guess what? Holding out was working. People blamed Republicans. But now you've voted to put the blame of the shutdown on democrats and your constituents won't be able to afford health insurance and I'm sure Trump will find a way to hold up SNAP benefits. So we got nothing from this.

He's the leader of the Senate of course he negotiated to make sure he didn't have to vote yes to get it to pass. He could have stopped it instead he encouraged it.
