Klara Hosnedlova‘s marvellous exhibition „To Infinity“ @ Kestner Gesellschaft left me in awe, creating a haptic post-industrial world #art #contemporaryart #berlin #arts

Visiting Le Corbusier's mass housing utopia in Marseille - A house is a (beautiful) machine for living
Corbusier remains controversial, but it's an example of collective housing done in a way that actually makes you want to live in it #urbanism #architecture #city

The drapes were inspired by the religious use of white cloths in Islam. Fitting since the wind which is making them dance, the scirocco, is coming over the sea from North Africa highlighting the interconnectedness of our ecological as well as political systems. 5/5 #manifesta15

What a sensual delight! The building was giving me flashbacks of another relict power plant, the Kraftwerk in Berlin, just with a Mediterranean touch. I don’t know what it is with these post-industrial relicts, but they always move me. 4/5 #manifesta15 #art #mediterranean

The installation worked so well with the brutalist architecture, its location next to the Mediterranean and its industrial history. I could have spent hours just experiencing the fluid choreography of the garments. 3/5 #manifesta15

One venue that left me especially in awe, were the three chimneys “Les Tres Xemeneies” with the poetic artwork by Asad Raza, what a sensual experience! Long drapes hanging from the ceiling of this post-industrial cathedral, dancing from the Mediterranean wind 2/5 #manifesta15

#Manifesta15 was such a great experience, I was positively surprised by the venues and touched by the artworks. The decentralised approach might not be to everyone’s liking, but it’s the only biennale concept that makes sense in a city like Barcelona riddled by overtourism 1/5

what a great movie! felt like poetry in motion, a meditative study of masculinity, being fragile without being weak - highly recommended: beau travail by Claire Denis (1999) #movies #cinema

while "I saw the TV glow" surely is an allegory for being trans I believe its themes can be extended universally, reminding us all to show our authentic selves and to live truthfully. oh, and f**k mr. melancholy

Melody Beattie has such a unique talent to find the right words for every situation. I still remember how I read this passage in her book Journey to the Heart and how it gave me hope for the future and peace with my past <3 #melodybeattie #selflove #acceptance #addiction

the number one deathbed regret is wishing one had the courage to live a life true to oneself, not the life others expected of them. these existential regrets of the dying can serve as a sort of guideline for less existential regrets
