I was fortunate enough to have Dr. Gurney as my instructor for Intro to Ecology as an undergrad. Last week, Dr. Gurney was featured on multiple news outlets because he and his team have modeled GHG emissions to street level and today I found out about this article.

A rumour is circulating that the public lands sell off has been flagged by the Senate Parliamentarian and will be part of the Byrd Rulings released overnight. If true, this is a huge victory.

The purpose of NEPA is to require a thorough consideration of all foreseeable consequences of an agency action, regardless of the page length or how long it takes to produce a report. Maybe a more appropriate takeaway would be that we shouldn't be transporting oil adjacent to the Colorado River?

In addition to the two bills currently in the House that will dismantle the efficacy of the Endangered Species Act, the bad actors in the agencies are looking trying to rescind the definition of "harm" to allow the destruction of habitat for listed species.
