Dark eyes scanning the horizon of this strange world. Rough but not so inhospitable terrain. Rocks and dust, mud and ruddy grasses. No trees though. Not a one.

"Are there caves he might get shelter in? Rocks he might lay in wait?"

"Not sure if he's even on your dirtball anymore. More likely he's left a trap, or some strange surprise..."

He wished it were wine.

Being this close to a gate, to the realm of Gan - a worm hole bridge to outside reality... His new companion unnerved him with her reckless abandon. He had trouble imagining a sane being of any strength or measure would willingly set up shop this close to a black hole.

"Keep the black hole to yourself, thankee miss."

A long pause, as he understood the words she said, and ran them through a mental filter. The This Low Speech held meanings he had to parse. "And I won't 'try' anything. I'm not craven or ruled by such things."

Back into the holster it went, his hand on his hat pulling the brim low.

And a hand on his gun.

He unholstered it light lightning but instead of turning it on her, he simply showed it to her. "He's got no face, nothing he keeps for long. He's got no voice, not that lingers in the the ear by pitch or tone."
