History, legends, myths, horror, and paranormal enthusiast. Could explain why I also believe in crazy things like universal human rights, universal healthcare, diversity, inclusion, and generally thinking that other people matter.
The craziest part of Trump attempting a(nother) hostile takeover of our nation’s capital is that he’s still in the Epstein files.

Anyone else see the new right wing conspiracy about LED headlights? Something about short bits of exposure over time turn you woke as part of the DEI agenda. Would have thought those people love blinding other drivers at night….

This has to be disqualifying, right? How do you spin this without implicating yourself as a Russian asset?

The Supreme Court is going to let them get away with this, but there’s no way in hell this is legal…f*ck

Whatever the hell that was, January is finally over. I hope everyone gets a chance to rest & recharge as we head into February.

Apparently some Senior FBI leaders have been told they have until Monday to resign or risk being fired. Another illegal attempt to remove people. Somewhere in hell, Nixon is being forced to watch this all play out while a demon repeats “you could never do that, you weren’t that good”…

Former NJ Senator Bob Menendez sentenced to 11 years for “brazen corruption” for accepting bribes. Are bribes officially bad now (Supreme Court) or just when given by a foreign entity (Trump Corporation)?

My colleagues at @npr.org have a really great searchable table of Trump's first week of Executive Orders, and what precisely they do/call for. Really useful! www.npr.org/2025/01/28/n...

With these blatant power grabs, conservative Supreme Court justices are about to make us laugh/cry/rage with their upcoming takes on original intent regarding the Constitution…

Vague executive orders are no mistake. The goal is to cause chaos, inflict as much damage as possible, and distract us while they move on to the next horrendous act. When called out, they’ll happily make stuff up and gaslight the public.

Absolutely frightening that the White House sent an end of day memo freezing federal grants pending review. So many programs that actually benefit people are about to lose funding…

Prosecutors who worked with Jack Smith, senior U.S. Aid officials…the Trump administration won’t stop there. Government employees who do their jobs and are anything less than blindly loyal are on the list - just after everyone they want to target to fulfill Trump’s personal vendetta.

Reminder to the world - appeasement doesn’t work as a political/diplomatic strategy. Please see 1920’s Europe. It will seem scary, but let the orange baby throw his tantrums.

25% tariffs because Colombian officials wouldn’t just take in people the U.S. randomly kicked out…so coffee will be more expensive. Also impacted - crude oil. Will definitely help gas prices…oh, and great timing with it being winter and arctic blasts impacting a lot of the country

With maga’s strong understanding of history and comprehension of facts, how long until Trump signs an executive order declaring Christopher Columbus as the founder of America?

Regarding RFK Jr., would republicans really put someone in charge who can’t be bothered to attend meetings and doesn’t know anything about what they’d be in charge of….oh, wait…

So, Republican Senators are just puppets and doing whatever Trump officials tell them…pathetic and scary…

McConnell, Murkowski, & Collins voted no on Frat boy Pete forcing Vance to cast the tie-breaking vote. Feels like a show. Thoughts?
