Oh come off it.

The events of Stalag Luft III absolutely deserve retelling. As do the events you reference.

It doesn’t have to be either/or. This kind of asinine reaction says so much about who you are, and it’s why progressives are constantly derided.

The worst part imo is the cgi, which makes the aircraft look cartoony. But it’s a solid show with a decent retelling of “The Great Escape”. It doesn’t reach the heights of the previous series Hanks/Spielberg did but it’s solid nonetheless

There’s absolutely no evidence for this. Combined with the fact that MRIs can track other conditions, it might be good to pump the brakes on the Alzheimer’s treatment theories

Here’s the link describing the state level fix: www.americanprogress.org/article/the-...

tl;dr version: states set their own charters for corporations through the legislature. A fix to Citizens United would effectively ban unlimited giving at the charter level
The Corporate Power Reset That Makes Citizens United Irrelevant
By using their authority to define what corporations are—and what powers they hold—states can end the era of corporate and dark money in U.S. politics.

Man, I maintain the only good performance in that movie is Jonathan Pryce. I’ll certainly watch it again but my most recent viewing, I found myself disappointed at the level of cheese, which just increased as the Brosnan years went on

…I also prefer The World is Not Enough to Tomorrow Never Dies 😬

Oh I should also add The Exorcist III. Because that scene in the hospital is just about one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen, and it’s all without a word

Honestly? It would probably be Martyrs. But the original French language version, not the US remake

Worth noting that the founder and CEO of Brave is pretty reprehensible. There’s also the way Brave itself has conducted business and its revenue model, neither of which has been above criticism

It’s Steve Ballmer’s spirit animal. He’s so inspired by Clippy, he bought the Clippers

And I see a tool used to split the Left by the top. I hope you enjoy being a useful idiot.

Don’t bother posting in this thread again. You won’t get a response.

I do not have time to waste on posers and people so riven by their own anger that they cannot see an ally or the actual issue. ✌️

Where do you think I live? What do you think my perspective is? I’m pointing out cognitive dissonance in an argument, AND I’m ideologically very far left. Please stop assuming things about me.

Mussolini was executed by partisans. He went through no legal process.

So what you’ve done here is to slip rhetorically from supporting a legal means of accountability to supporting extrajudicial political violence.

You can’t have both.

What’s that old saying? “If wishes were horses, beggars would ride”?

We cannot afford to dream, or hope, or wish. We can only afford to take action within our only reality. If someone is saying “one can dream”, they’re completely unserious.

We cannot dream.

Stop wasting time.

And no one will go to The Hague because the United States is not a signatory or party of the Rome Statute

Could we call Weiss’s inevitable fall “Bari Unbecoming”? Feels like it would be almost poetic

I’m late to the party but!

Here’s some great ones:
Frigoris - …in Stille
Just about anything by Aara, but specifically Triade I, II, III
An Unbroken Moment - Woods of Desolation

“according to think tank third way”

So in other words we should ignore everything said by Nichols. These people are milquetoast centrists and completely unequipped for the fight ahead.

(This kind of language policing has also been shown to fail, and very recently)

Years ago my mother was on a subway and witnessed a homeless man yelling at a man with acne covering his face: “You have to exfoliate! You have to exfoliate yourself!”

It’s become family mythos

A hell of a novel, manic eyed, lurid, presaging American Psycho and perhaps doing it better. Thompson was an inconsistent writer but when he was on like he is here he was lightning in a bottle

I’m not joking: I sat down not three nights ago to watch this, fell asleep halfway through (I was profoundly bored with all of the colored smoke and flashing colors), and then forgot all about it until this post 😐

Rep. McBride has emphasized what was clear from Ken Martin’s actions as DNC chair: the Democrats have learned the wrong lessons from Trump’s win. That’s a choice, and it seems to be one they’re happily making
