One of the best series I've ever read. The characters are real enough to be hanging out on your couch while the plot twists are perfectly prepared and performed.

I think it's a measurement problem. Many of the people in these comments have mentioned getting better at art through hard work and dedication, but what is better? Good code runs. A good engine runs. Good art is subjective, so they use profit as a measure of success. Which sucks.
