I think Derek @dieworkwear.bsky.social would approve those trousers, actually. Best he can do under the circumstances 🤷‍♂️

Ha, but the joke is on those voters now, after the fascist rug pull innit

Solidarity, Jen. Do Americans have enough of it?
I remember solidarity being a slogan in 80s Denmark, seems it worked

Just need the Evergreen KitchenAid to top it up 👌

> their public may be less willing to endure it than yours - because you have the more compelling story to tell

You can discount that. You will never get that story through to US voters. These are the same people that swallow the whole Epstein thing and all the other canards thrown at them

Idiotic indeed. They must put all their hopes into that takeover of the broad church by the left.
Nothing wrong with ideals, but under FPTP those are wasted.
Under PR they would be expressed, suitably weighted, and most importantly not completely wasted.
July 29, 2025 at 10:57 AM
And I can never understand, given that analysis, why the UK left and centre are not all in for PR: bespoke little parties driving each their own mobilisation, and then cool heads in parliament making that into a tapestry of collaboration. You’d be social democrats in one fell swoop.
July 29, 2025 at 8:31 AM
A good post to be sure. But also a sad testament to FPTP.
The whole notion of a broad church, with its inherent tension, and the adverse effect on mobilising support, it makes you want to cry.
If ever it “worked” it must have been due to class consciousness like you say - automatic mobilisation.

… it is giving R-Type 👾
July 16, 2025 at 9:23 AM
There was an ICE with a different name before this 2003 ICE. And if you get rid of the current ICE, there will be another agency with the exact same responsibilities and a different name. A silly slogan for a silly exercise. You guys need a slogan that captures what you actually want
July 4, 2025 at 8:42 PM
It is not a good slogan. It is like the old “defund the popo”, quite useless.
Ice is bad in its current form, sure; but a form of immigration police will always exist 🤷‍♂️
July 4, 2025 at 6:25 PM
I mean… they _have_ been getting over it, for decades, voting against their own best interest 🤷‍♂️
June 27, 2025 at 8:42 PM
> To be quite frank, I just wished they had asked me about this change before they did it

That’s just a great line in an excellent post :)

If authorities will not enforce laws, can (losing) investors go to the courts?

You had me at ‘chore’ 💪

You should pay these clowns straight man fees (see what I did there 😏)

Evil propagandists will have an easy time breaking your stuff here in the internet age
February 26, 2025 at 3:16 PM
Tldr on your tldr: “FPTP because good chaps ftw innit 👍”, and I think when you formulate it like that it encapsulates just how awful it is in 2025
