It was to symbolize the fact that she was living in luxury but also like a prisoner. If you saw the film, it seems clear. I also get that the movie isn’t for everyone.

It was entertaining at times, but not what I expected. It wasn’t necessary to put on those longish skits for a show like this. You’ve already proven yourself, SNL! Just show us the best skits and musical numbers over the years, with commentary from your cast and crew.
